Subject: The Father of Our Spirit

Dear People who Keep Company with God,

The Great Love of Jesus Conference we had this past weekend exceeded all of my expectations. What we experienced was the Father communicating to our spirits. Jesus said, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear (Matthew 11:15)." The ears Jesus was talking about are not our natural ears located on the sides of our head, but our spiritual ears. The Father desires to speak directly to our spirits bypassing our mind, it is not that our intellect is not important, but our intellect is meant to serve our spirit. Our spirit was never meant to serve our intellect. The writer of Hebrews tells us an amazing fact," Furthermore, we had earthly fathers to discipline us, and we respected them; shall we not much rather be subject to the father of our spirits, and live (Hebrews 12:9)." As the Father of our spirit, it is no wonder that He desires to speak to that part of us directly.

I was very blessed as I saw an example of the new preachers God is raising up in this day in Shampa Rice, those who can speak directly to our spirit. Our intellect will catch up as our minds are renewed by what the Father is speaking into our spirits. Shampa emphasized over and over that we can actually communicate without words. This is what she was talking about! The western church has been so infatuated with profound teaching and preaching that we have missed a fundamental way God speaks and our spiritual growth has been stunted as a result. However, the Father is interested in strengthening our spirits causing us to grow up. "And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him (Luke 2:40)"

In spite of all the difficult things that have happened in the church in our nation in recent days I believe we are entering into a great time, not a mountaintop time, but something more sustaining. Jesus spoke of a time and a people bringing forth true worship in the earth, "But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. 24 "God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." (John 4:23-24). It is the people who have allowed the Father to speak directly to their spirits that will bring forth this worship since there is nothing more true than what the Father speaks. As we by faith receive His voice into our spirits our lives will be transformed and we will become those true worshipers.

And He said to them, "Why is it that you were looking for Me? Did you not know that I had to be in My Father's house?" Luke 2:49

I came away from The Great Love of Jesus Conference with a fresh hunger and a renewed personal vision of "being in the Father's House and doing the things of our Father." Becky and I desire to see the fathers and mothers of the faith arise in this hour. The generations coming behind us desperately need men and women who carry the Father's heart and mission and can communicate this with words and with their lives. I believe this is one of the greatest needs of the church in this hour.

The Father desires for us to rest and receive the grace He is communicating to our spirits right now.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brethren. Amen (Galatians 6:18).
