Dear
People who Keep Company with God,
Last
week at our Breakthrough Meeting I was soaking during the worship and I asked
the Lord what He was doing and immediately I found myself in a vision
experience. I was laying in what seemed to be a bed of white feathers and it
was snowing white feathers all around me. These feathers were whiter than any
earthly white I had ever seen. I knew as I lay there that my soul was
experiencing some type of accelerated healing and restoration from all the
pressures of this life that I had been dealing with. Suddenly I saw to the left a semi and trailer
and I asked, "What is this?" I heard a voice say, "It is a produce truck". The vision ended as I thought about what it
meant.
I have
meditated on this vision and here is some of what I believe it means for
us. The scripture tells us, "He will cover you with his feathers, and
under his wings you will find refuge; Psalms 91:4. I have never experienced
a time when the overall spiritual atmosphere in our nation has been so negative
and so many are in crisis. There is so much pressure in all
that is going on in the world and without a personal awareness of God's
deliverance and protection; it is going to be very difficult to keep your mind
from being overcome by the pressures of these times we are living in. However,
the Lord has created a dwelling place for each of us where we can find refuge
from all that is going on in this world. "He
who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the
Almighty" Psalms 91:1.
I believe this dwelling place is within every believer and in the
midst of the gathering of believers. We are Christ's dwelling place. "Do you
not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you."1
Corinthians 3:16. And, "For where two or three have gathered
together in My name, I am there in their midst." Matthew 18:20. By having this experience I believe the Holy
Spirit is inviting us into a greater reality of what we already possess in
Christ.
Faith is essential to enter into the reality of this dwelling
place. Faith
is not something you or I do to make God move – if it was, the burden would be
upon us and that amounts to legalism. Faith is really
the positive response to what God has already provided by His grace. Faith does
not make the dwelling place of God a reality; it already exists in the
spiritual realm. "Faith is the evidence
of what already exist in the unseen world." Hebrews 11:1. We can release the reality of what is in the unseen
world into our experience by a positive confession of faith. "I will
say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I
trust!" Psalm 91:2. Note it
says, "I will say", that is the positive confession of
faith that we make that releases the reality of the dwelling place of God into
our experience. The produce truck of heaven arrives with all we need to make it
through these times. Through the rest of the Psalm God reveals the content of
His heavenly produce truck: deliverance, protection, covering and so on.
There is one more thing; I felt as I lay in the feathers a
supernatural strength entered my soul. I immediately thought of the Psalm 23:3 "He restores my soul". This is very necessary as sometimes just
getting through the day in the midst of such spiritual heaviness taxes our
soul. A tired and burdened soul is not able to bear the fruit and works of the
Spirit of Christ because we are worn out from bearing and doing everything
else. It is under the shadow of His
wings that these words of Jesus become a reality in our lives.
"Come to Me, all who are weary and
heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. 29 "Take My yoke upon you and learn
from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR
SOULS. 30 "For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." Matthew
11:28-30
Many Blessings, BW
