Fusion: A Ministry to 20 & 30 Somethings

Fusion is a group where couples and singles in their 20s and 30s can connect. Our main focus is to develop new friendships and build existing ones, hang out, and just have a good time in a Christian environment. We feel that having strong connections in the body is key to successfully running the race. We have to first REALLY know one another before we are truly able to support, encourage, and challenge each other. Our heart is for Fusion to be an invitation to the 20 and 30 something's in our church to make those real connections that will help us stay firmly rooted and planted in God's love. We believe there is a genuine need in our church for these deeper connections, especially now that we have new people joining our body almost every week. We want to make them feel welcome, and give everyone the opportunity to help them get plugged in.

Each month we will now have two Fusion events, FusionMix and FusionLife.

FusionMix events are for everyone to socialize, perhaps share a meal, play games, or go on an outing. We want it to be casual so the emphasis is on good conversation, laughter, and enjoying each others company. It will be a fun way to meet new people, and get to know less new (I didn't want to say old) people a little better. We know that with the current state of the economy and gas prices, money is tight for some families. We hope most of our events will be entirely FREE, but occasionally there may be a small cost involved depending on the activity. In the past we have planned some pricier Fusion events, such as white water rafting, that have been very successful. If we decide to do something similar will we let you know months ahead of time so you can work it into your budget.

FusionLife group(s) will meet once a month in someone's home to discuss various topics, and share and pray with one another. We just want you to come with an open heart, ready to share what God has freely given you to pour out upon others. We are going to try and meet the 3rd Thursday of every month. That is not set in stone of course because occasionally there will be conflicts, but we will try and be as consistent as possible.

The dates for all of our FusionMix and FusionLife events will appear on the church calendar each month. We will post flyers and send out email announcements and reminders well in advance so everyone can work them into their schedules.
