All About CSM
“Christ’s School of Ministry is taking a break for the 2011-2012 school year. We will not be holding our 2 year or 3rd year courses of study.”
➢ What is CSM? Christ’s School of Ministry is a school that was birthed from the heart of God in 2000 by Jim Hill, former associate pastor at River Life Fellowship and current director of His Heart Missions. God is preparing a place for his habitation in North Carolina. We desire to join God in what He is doing and prepare our lives (spirit, soul and body) to be completely joined to Him and actively involved in His work of bringing REVIVAL and Awakening to America. CSM is a 2 or 3year (4 or 6 semester) ministry training school. The first 2 years of study focuses on Biblical studies and Christian discipleship. The 3rd year is a more focused year of preparation and activation in the prophetic, pastoral or evangelistic ministry. CSM is designed for the average working person that needs minimal class hours and a flexible study schedule. Whether an individual feels a calling to full-time ministry or a “ministry” in their current workplace, CSM is set-up in such a way as to prepare individuals for whatever the Lord’s plan is for them. Our goal is to see the FIRE of the Lord’s Spirit burn bright in the heart of every student. And, to equip them to carry and impart that FIRE to others. Jesus said, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore, pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” Christ’s School of Ministry is dedicated to preparing laborers for His harvest and participating with God as He sends them forth to accomplish His purpose. **The 3rd Year Schools will NOT be offered during 2010-2011. We plan on offering these again in the fall of 2011.
➢ How much time per week does CSM require? CSM has only 3 hours of class time per week for 1st and 2nd year students: Tuesdays, 7-10 PM. There will be an additional 3-5 hours of reading/study assignments given each week, as well. In short, students MUST be able to commit 7-10 hours per week to class and study time. The 3rd year student must be able to commit to 1-2 hours of class per week plus an additional 3 hours of reading and study time.
➢ Do I need to attend every class? Yes. Students are allowed to miss 3 classes per semester. After 3 absences, the student will be required to meet with the CSM director in order to discuss the status of the student in the class.
➢ What are the costs associated with attending CSM? A one-time $25 enrollment fee is due upon receipt of the application. The cost for tuition is $200 per semester for the 1st & 2nd year and $100 per semester for the 3rd year. (Families with more than one member enrolled in CSM per semester will receive a 50% discount on the 2nd family member.) We prefer that the tuition be paid in full prior to the first class of each semester, but 4 monthly payments of $50 can be made if needed. In addition, a book list will be provided for each semester that each student is responsible to obtain individually.
➢ How do I get enrolled in CSM? Fill out the attached Application Form (1st Year or 3rd Year) and Pastoral Recommendation Form (if not a member of River Life Fellowship). Turn-in forms with the $25 enrollment fee to Matthew in the church office by August 16th . The CSM staff will schedule a personal interview with you and will notify you of your admittance status within two weeks.

This semester, each student will gain a fresh perspective on the key essentials in becoming a follower and co-laborer with Christ. With the help and keen insights from Watchman Nee, we will endeavor to allow the Holy Spirit to continue to illuminate his ongoing work in us that we may be fully his in order that our lives would contain the salt and light needed to affect the world around us.
Spring Semester 2011:

Christian Discipleship 102: Equipped for Battle
Instructor: To Be Determined Hours: Tues. 8:30 – 10:00 pm
Course Description: This course will break down 5 of the most common worldviews in our culture, today – Postmodernism, New Age Religion, Secular Humanism, Islam and Christianity. We will examine what each worldview believes about God, reality, origins of the universe, the nature of Truth, etc. Then, we will discover why individuals with different worldviews believe the things they do on issues like gay marriage, abortion, the environment, evolution, the economy, etc. If you have ever asked the question: “Why do I believe what I believe?”, this course will help answer that question. AND . . . this course will equip you to effectively discuss these issues with others who may not recognize the Truth.
